Field Study Analysis:
Over the last 6 weeks, my site has changed drastically in plant death, plant growth, and bee visitation. My area has become dryer making some of my plants die. As a result, other less water-consuming plants take their place. My site has been visited by bees a lot during the beginning of the project, but towards the end, very few if any were spotted.
Three dominant organisms in my site are bees, worms, and grasses. The bees in my area are pollinators that move pollen from one flower to another using their legs. Over the course of the project, the bees have stopped visiting my area nearly as often. This could be a result of the death of flowers on my main floral plant over the course of the study. This organism is dominant in my area as no other flying bugs try to compete with them in my site. The worms in my area are decomposers that make organic material in the soil. During this project, the worms were most easily seen during or after rain because they changed their location from under the soil to on the ground level. As stated before, the rain affected the worms as well as the lack of birds in my site. This organism is dominant in my area because of their unique function as a decomposer in my habitat. The main grass in my area covers a huge majority of my site and is a producer. Over the course of the study, the grass has grown to take over areas where other plants have died off due to the drought. The drought, newly-created space, and role as a producer allow the grass to really thrive. This organism is dominant in my area because it is a producer and is able to survive in the drought.
In this lab, I have learned a lot about the role of each plant to allow an ecosystem to function as a whole as well as gain a new appreciation of the world around us.

Field Study Conclusion:
As our objective was to learn about a specific site, reinforce knowledge of organisms specific to the area, and appreciate nature, I think that we did accomplish our objective, My original predictions were accurate. The drought killed many of my plants and as such, only drought-resistant plants were able to survive. I also predicted that animals would cease to be in my site due to this development. That is accurate as evidenced by the the bee population in my site. After this project, I feel more connected to my site and have a new appreciation of nature.
Field Study Opinion:
I overall really enjoyed the field study project. I thought that it was an interesting way to learn about our subject. I really liked being in nature and learning through real life experiences rather than just through a textbook. I also enjoyed the freedom of being able to pick a spot and hang out and observe it freely. I think some improvements would be picking sites within a certain distance as sometimes walking there could be a drag. However I also liked the distance most of the time as it allowed me to socialize and think about results.
